Can Amman Valley find a home for Eisteddfod’s 2014 festival?
May 17 2010 by Rachael Misstear, Western Mail LANDOWNERS in the Amman Valley have been given just over a week to step forward for an opportunity to host the 2014 National Eisteddfod. With potential to bring in over £8m, the hunt is now on to find a suitable 140-acre site. The Welsh language festival was last held in Ammanford in the 1970s and now attracts over 160,000 visitors annually. Community leaders have urged anyone with ideas on where to site the festival to get in touch.
