Can Americans visit Cuba and North Korea?
No. There is still an embargo on Cuba. No goods can go or come from there. No planes can travel there, no boats can sail there, no communication basically. President Obama has HINTED that he is going to lift the embargo (which has been in place for decades now), but he hasn’t fulfilled that promise yet. As far as North Korea I do not know. I would imagine we COULD but it’s a high risk. Seeing as anyone who even crosses the border can be imprisoned indefinitely for the crime. North Korea pretty much uses people as bargaining chips. Their economy is for shit and if it wasn’t for China it would be nothing. I’m very surprised it hasn’t been absorbed into China. South Korea is a Democracy but who knows… I actually am not against their invasion of Tibet. It was a poverty stricken nation. Cannibalism was common. The Dali Lama was the first to flee, with the rest of his monks. I’m not too fond of the Lama. The economic security in the region has promoted huge growth for the local population.
