Alumni in the class of 2006 and beyond are already using UVa Gmail. Alumni in the classes of 2005 and before (previously using the forwarding-only email service) may now take advantage of Vmail, a UVa email account provided by Google for life. These Vmail accounts use the suffix “@alumni.virginia.edu,” just like the old forwarding system, but Vmail accounts are not forwarding accounts. They are actual email accounts, accessed via the Web like any Google Gmail account. For more details, see the HoosOnline information on alumni email.
