Can alumni access databases and other library resources remotely, from home or office?

0

Remote access to our online resources is not available because of licensing restrictions. If you live outside of the immediate Chicago area, bear in mind that your local public library most likely provides remote access to a selection of databases. Also, many public universities allow state residents on-site access to online resources because they are funded by taxpayers. If you are able to come on-campus, alumni are welcome to access most database subscriptions*, including Academic Search Premier and LexisNexis, by using the computer labs adjacent the reference desks at the Lincoln Park and Loop Campus Libraries. If you do not have an alumni identification card for the door swipe, please inquire at the Reference Desk to sign in. To request an ID card, contact Alumni Relations. * There are a few exceptions; please Ask a Librarian to confirm that what you want to use is available.
