Can alligators climb trees and like live there?
Yes! They dangle their offspring over the heads of innocent canoers below an the little ‘gaters’ bite their heads off as they pass under the trees. Well, actually they don’t bite their heads off cause the gaters are no larger than kittens. However, they’re closely related to the northern ‘snow snake’ that slithers beneath the snow and is white and rarely seen as you might imagine, but their deadly method of killing is dreadful to imagine whereas they wriggle into an unsuspecting campers sleeping bag and into the campers rectum and instantly freezing the poor innocent camper to death. A truely cold hearted snake!
If the tree is way bent over, like almost horizontal, and the gator isn’t very large, it could possibly climb it. I don’t know why it would, though, that isn’t their natural environment. If you’re phobic about gators falling or jumping out of trees on you, I wouldn’t worry about it, I have never heard of it happening! Snakes, though…that’s a whole ‘nother story!
