Can Allied T-A® and HP drills offer a more effective drilling solution than oil hole twist drills, standard twist drills, or indexable carbide drills?

Yes! Oil hole or standard twist drills can be replaced with either T-A® or HP products. Indexable carbide drills should be replaced when horsepower, hole depth, hole size or insert breakage is a problem. Indexable carbide drills limit machine performance because they require stricter operating specifications. Allied T-A® and HP drills can be run at a wider variety of speed and feed rates to best utilize a customer’s machine capacity. Please refer to the Allied Recommended Speeds and Feeds chart for a performance comparison.
