Tuesday February 3, 2009 Many alcoholics in recovery, after remaining abstinent for a period of time, come to believe that they can return to drinking and do so moderately. The few who do successfully return to moderate drinking were probably not alcoholics in the first place. For the vast majority, trying to go back to controlled drinking fails miserably.
