Can agribusinesses use facilities or participate in SIRP programs?
SIRP was designed to include participation for the irrigation industry and agribusiness. Each of the major U.S. center pivot manufacturers are represented there with equipment. Several companies have provided equipment for evaluation or demonstration. Irrigation companies have used the facility for regional training of their sales and service employees and have participated in field days. All are invited to use the high profile center to reach the area’s farming community which is the center of 2.5 million acres in the SE Coastal Plain in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.
