Can adults go horseback riding?
Adults may ride as a participant in the program; however, the council will serve girls first, depending on number of horses. Adults who want to ride must register, pay the same fee as a girl, sign a horseback riding liability waiver and abide by all the program rules. Maximum capacity is 220 pounds. Liability waivers The council requires a liability waiver signed by the horseback riding participant and parent/guardian before a person can ride. The forms will be included in the placement packet. Camping at the ranch A 20-person unit is available at the ranch for troops attending a special overnight horseback-riding program such as “Bath and Body Works for the Horse.” Overnight programs include the site fee for camping in the unit at the ranch. Participants sleep in non-heated four-person cabins with bunk beds and have a cooking shelter with stove, sink with running water, refrigerator, basic cooking equipment and picnic tables and have access to flush toilets and showers at the house.
