Can activex be disabled entirely?
ActiveX can be disabled from the Tools menu in Internet Explorer. To do this, go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. Click the tab at the top labeled “Security”, then click the “Custom Level” button. Scroll down to the category marked “ActiveX controls and plugins.” Select the radio button to disable each of the options in the list. You must restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
