For example, ActivePatch can be used to periodically update systems which use a local copy of a shared database. It could also be used to manage a repository of documents, spreadsheets, and other data, automatically updating client systems when one or more of the files have changed. ActivePatch can benefit any application which needs to distribute or use modified versions of any type of file.
