On those foods requiring a Nutrition Facts table, vitamins and mineral nutrients must be expressed as a % Daily Value per serving of stated size within the Nutrition Facts table [B.01.401(1)]. However, amounts of vitamins and mineral nutrients can be stated elsewhere on the label, provided they are declared in the appropriate units as set out the Table I to Division 1 and Table I to Division 2 of Part D of the Food and Drug Regulations [B.01.301(1)(b)].
