Can abruptly stopping ur antidepressants make u have thoughts about your same gender?

Yes it is possible. People that stop taking their antidepressants abruptly, whether they are taking them for depression or for something else (bipolarity, or depression along with other diagnosis..), have changes in their thought process. Antidepressants change your body and mostly brain chemistry. It should not be surprising that a change in the levels of brain chemistry affects thought processing. Even natural things such as PMS, or pregnancy affects body chemistry resulting in mood, reasoning and thought changes… Most importantly, It is not a good idea to stop taking medication. One of the hardest things as a psychiatrist is trying to make sure your patients are compliant with their medication. Medication is not cure and relapse is very very common. Just because the symptoms are gone doesn’t mean the condition is gone.
