Can a yeast infection cause preterm labor or false contractions?
Yes, it is possible that a yeast infection can cause preterm labor and even cause your belly to contract. My last son this exact thing happened to me, I did not go into preterm labor but I did have abdominal cramping so badly that I thought that I was going into labor because my stomach would contract. This is why at every prenatal appointment they will check your urine to see if you have a urinary tract infection or yeast infection and give you the proper medication to take care of it. In the case a yeast infection they will tell you which over counter crèmes or insert you can use to help clear it up.
