Can a yard/garage sale be sucessfull without advertising in a newspaper?
I have had many successful garage sales without using a newspaper ad. I do believe though, that they draw more people to the sale. Make sure when you post signs that they are readable and give adequate direction to the sale. I have seen so many signs that are either too small, illegible or can’t be read without stopping on the road (which is dangerous). Balloons indicate a Birthday party…not a yard sale. Just use bright colored posterboard and a bold type black marker. Good luck. BTW….Make sure to remove the signs when the sale is over.
