Can a uniform commercial re-roofing permit and procedure be developed for tri-county area?
Mr. Watts with Associated Roofing Contractors posed this question. He represents commercial roofing companies in the tri-county region. The roofing association would like consistency and a uniform approach to handling re-roofing projects in the tri-county area. Mr. Watts mentioned some jurisdictions require engineering reports and some do not and noted that consistency also varies among jurisdictions regarding pre-inspections. The panel forwarded this issue to the Tri-County Processes and Forms committee for discussion and action.
