CAN A TRAINED COUNSELOR HELP PEOPLE IF HE LOVES GOD AND HAS A TRUE DESIRE TO BE OF SERVICE?

The counselor trained in psychology, even though he has a strong desire to help people, can’t be effective until he totally and completely renounces all psychological training and turns to the Word of God as his sole source and guide. It is like mixing light with darkness. Scripture asks us this question: . “And what accord has Christ with BELIAL? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:15). IS THE PREACHER QUALIFIED TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS OF MANKIND? . If the preacher of the Gospel is thoroughly grounded in the Word of God, he is actually the only one who is capable of meeting these particular needs. . I realize it is being suggested today that the preacher of the Gospel is not qualified to address the “human condition.” He has not been specifically educated and trained in these areas.
