Yes. This can be your choice but in general the costs will be more expensive. If it is done in a hospital, general anesthesia will be administered by one of the staff anesthesiologists. You can be discharged later on the day of surgery or you may elect to stay overnight. Dr Jacobs may also recommend this alternative if he feels it is medically indicated and safer for you.
