Can a terrorist group such as Al Qaeda be tackled by the rest of the World?
Not for as long as the perspective on religious extremism is falsely construed. Decent examination shows that islamic extremists are anything but some all-powerful organization. The real steps to breaking them down are twofold: denying them attention and showing little fear of their ideologies. Denying attention involves politicians such as President Obama giving open discussion, and pressured to give the facts, CIA reports, etc. about what exactly justifies escalating Afghanistan warfare with potentially fewer than 100 al qaeda members in Afghanistan (CIA Report). http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/11/1… Escalating Afghanistan only kills our justification, plus makes the destabilization of Pakistan a self-fulfilling prophecy.
