if you go to Planned Parenthood, you will not have to provide parental consent. I live in NYand i believe NY does not have a law that would require you to tell your parents; However if you are not a resident of NY and just want to go to NY to get an abortion, it doesnt work that way. You need to put down the address of an actual resident in the state, because the laws are differnt for each state and teens often have the procedure at a reduced price. I dont not know if they check the address but I would put down a real person/address just in case but for the most part they will not question you too much. Also, if you plan on using your insurance to cover the operation, it will show up on your bill which is sent to your home address and your parents will find out that way; so most people decide to pay cash or ask if there is a way to not have it appear on the insurance.
