Can a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) apply for Expanded Choice?
Educational services for a student with special needs are detailed in the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Before granting a transfer request under the Expanded Choice program, the District must determine whether those required services are available at the requested school. If the District determines that the student’s IEP cannot be implemented at the requested school, the transfer will not be granted.
