Yes. If a student feels that there are extenuating circumstances for being on suspension, or dismissal, a written letter of appeal must be provided to the Committee on Academic Standards. If the appeal is granted, the student is eligible to return to the University. If the appeal is denied, or if a student does not submit a written appeal within the stated deadlines, the academic sanction stands and he/she is separated from the University in accordance with the Academic Regulations.
