A. It is up to the nurse in charge to assess the patient’s condition before this takes place. There is an agreed aptient transport policy and students are specifically mentioned in this policy. Generally speaking if you would be able to send the patient with an auxiliary nurse or the patient’s relatives it is safe to allow the student to accompany the patient. NB.
