Anybody can avoid being hypnotized. Hypnosis requires cooperation. Nobody can be hypnotized against his or her will. The use of language to help people is what hypnosis is about. The hypnotist suggests the client go into a unique altered state of consciousness call hypnosis. Then suggestions are given which invite the client to think differently, to feel differently, and to behave differently.
