I really doubt the clutch has anything to do with it (but, it is another problem!). Did you check if there’s a bubble in its tummy (a vapor lock in the cooling system)? This usually manifests itself as a collapsed cooling system hose. Greg #1245 SEVa • Slipping the clutch is going to produce a lot of heat. Not sure how much you have to slip it, but I wonder if gearing down might not help as you use this for lots of city driving. That would reduce the amount of slipping required.
