Can a sixteen-year-old use any of the Cambridge Diet weight loss programmes?
Yes, but not the sole source programme. We would recommend the meal replacement programme. Anyone under the age of eighteen should not attempt a weight loss programme without parental consent and doctor’s permission. Ideally, a sixteen year old should be counselled with a parent present – especially as the parent may have supplied the foods that caused the problem in the first place! Young people require lots of support to keep them motivated, to ensure they follow the programme correctly and to achieve a realistic stable weight long term.
