Can a second defensive tackle be found to allow Sam Acho to spend more time at end?
Acho is the consummate team guy. The 260-pound senior would play cornerback if the coaches wanted. But what the coaches want is to keep him at end, where he is an excellent pass rusher. To do that consistently, though, someone must step up to complement Kheeston Randall at tackle. That someone will be young. Redshirt freshman Calvin Howell, who played briefly in 2009 before being sidelined by a concussion, is the most likely, if he can stay healthy. But sophomore Tyrell Higgins and redshirt freshman Kyle Kriegel will get a shot.
