If the school site provides meals only to enrolled summer school students, it is not eligible to participate in the SSFO. Meal services at academic summer school sites must be open to children in the community in order to qualify for the SSFO. Academic summer school meals remain eligible for reimbursement at free, reduced-price, and paid rates under the NSLP/SBP.
