Can a pregnancy test come back negative if you did not pee on it long enough?
Usually if you don’t give a large enough sample, the test will read an error, or won’t read anything at all. If you got a negative result, that’s most likely what the test is reading. However, if you’re due for your period and haven’t started, there’s still a chance that you could be pregnant. Wait another 24-48 hours, and take another test. Make sure and use FMU (first morning urine). Best of luck and lots of baby dust!
Yes, your body produces the hormone HCG and this is what gives a postive result. If your in the very early stages of pregnancy your body might not produce enough hormone to show a positive result or it may be too diluted if it wasn’t your first morning urine. I myself had tested 2 weeks prior to a positive test telling me i wasn’t pregnant, when 2 weeks later after 1 alcoholic drink and feeling very rough the next day decided to do a test, i almost threw the test away when a very very faint 2nd line appeared.. i then dipped this back into the urine and a strong 2nd line appeared. Determine when your last period was and if your doing another test, use first morning urine and wait at least 5 mins as the result may change like mine did.. That was 9 month ago and my little beggar is now 5 days overdue today with no sign of coming out lol good luck!
