Can a pregnancy test come back negative if you did not pee on it long enough?
These tests look for the presence of hCG, a hormone, in the urine. It only requires a very small amount of urine to perform the test, but the test should be done first thing in the morning. This is because the urine is most concentrated after sleeping, and the detection of hCG can be effected by the more dilute urine later in the day.
It wont come back with anything at all if you didnt pee in it long enough. There is a control panel on all pregnancy tests that turns blue when the test has been used right. Take another test and make sure u pee on it long enough to see a result on the control panel as well as in the result bar. Good luck!
I used the “casette.” Please follow the instructions correctly. I used the “Pregtest”casette on the day i missed my periods. I got two lines. In this casette i had to hold three drops of urine for some 20 secs and if both the control and test line appeared – i am supposed to be preg (however faint the test line was). The test was positive. Just to confirm this, after two days i carried out the test using urine again and this time the test line was darker (the HCG hormone indeed had doubled levels) I am nauseated , pukish and my breasts are sore. I lost my love to food. Good luck! all i can say is that do the test exactly according to the instructions given by the manufacturer.
