yes it can happen because of the hormones(Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)) and it also depends on the time after you had relations did you take the test because you are suppose to wait until your period is due however when taken the test corectly the test is accurate 97% of the time…it can also be the test you are using i would recomment first response pregnancy test and to avoid this type of conflict just pee on a cup first and stick the test in it…its faster and easier…if you are not pregnant and still looking to get pregnant here is a site that gives you information on good times to get pregnant and it gives you info on false negatives and false positives…hope it helps and best wishes!!!
that may be the issue or some women actually have a problem with the hormone showing up in their urine period-when i got pregnant with my son i knew i was pregnant but every single stick i urinated on turned up negative even when i went to the doctor.he finally drew blood four months later to find the hormone raging through my system he said it happens to 1 in every 10,000 women in the continental united states as well as periods during pregnancy so i’d go to the doctor as soon as possible to get my blood tested if i were you but it also depends on how late you’re running as well.
When was your last missed period, sometimes you should wait atleast a couple of days afterwards, and I would recommend getting multiple pregnancy test, or at least two, so you can try again in a couple of days…if it is negative..it helps if you pee in a cup and then dip the stick in, that way you know that you have enough urine to do the test with…good luck sweetie!
