Can a power-train control module be easily tested by a non-professional If so how?
what you have to do is, and you have to have a repair manual to retrevive the codes from, I got mine from pepboys the haynes repair manual, turn the key on, off, on, off and on again and it will give you some of the problem codes not all of them but you will have to watch and record the flashes that the check engine light will flash to tell you the problems of your van. I maybe having the same problem and my manual says to change the powertrain control module because I can’t get it started but the starter, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel hoses, distibutor roter button, air filter and anything else you can think of has been changed all are new and still is not takinging care of the problem. The only one I have found so far is one that I have to order and it costs $200 so I’m trying to find it in a junkyard but not having much luck. hope it helps.
