Can a polytheist join the Freemasons?

0

In most cases yes, but there are some catches…. Freemasonry requires the belief in a Supreme Being who is the Creator of All the Heavens and Earth. To that extent a polytheist would have to believe that only ONE of those gods is the Creator, to include being the Creator of the other gods. Freemasonry also defines (as does Judeo-Christian belief) that God is a supernatural force, the Creator of the universe but not of the universe. In other words the sun or moon cannot be God as they are part of the Creation, so any faiths that observe “natural” gods also cannot become Masons.
