Can a pneumatic rotary actuator or pneumatic motor be positioned?

Can I put a pneumatic rotary in specific positions if I added some type of feedback to a proportional Valve and then the same question for a pneumatic motor? What I Need is something that only turns 1260 degrees and I can Very it anywhere in between. I would use a proportional Pneumatic Valve for the actuator but I’m not sure if a motor would be able to be used in that Way. Thanks for you answer though! Yes a pnumatic motor can be positioned especially if the output Shaft is geared down to a slower Rpm. You can use a simple Cam and follower to operate a cutout valve to stop the motor when the shaft reaches a certain position. A rotary actuator is a little trickier as it is designed to be in one position or the other and the position the shaft obtains depends upon the applied Air pressure and the amount of Load opposing the shaft. To obtain a specific intermediate position you can use a Mechanical stop to limit the travel. A separate actuator Controls the position of the stop either lim
