this actually happened not too long ago – a beechcraft king air pilot side windshield failed at high altitute, the windshield remained in place but so many cracks it went opaque white so couldnt see out – the plane lost preasure through the cracks and the pilots went unconciuos putting the plane into a high speed dive but the piolts did not get sucked out – they eventually recovered and landed safely
