Can a person who has never used scuba gear before keep this Rapid Diver unit as an emergency method of untangling a prop and use it successfully?
A .Probably not. We are part of the scuba industry which self regulates itself. As it applies to scuba gear, you must be a certified diver and trained in the gear that you use. Any local dive shop can train you to become a certified diver and in the use of the Rapid Diver system. I personally feel that the Rapid Diver makes the perfect diving system for boaters because of its compact size–and not just to entangle the prop–but to have fun diving.
