Can a patrol P71 Crown Victoria catch up 2 a european car like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini?
In most cases the police will not pursue at speeds in excess of 85 MPH (or there abouts). At which point the radio and aircraft come into play. In some cases more then one aircraft may be used (because not all aircraft can go as fast as the cars you mentioned). At one time (I am told) there was a collector in up-state NY that played with the cop in his cars (they were illegal because of smog requirements) and the reporter (Car and Driver Mag) claimed that he had not been caught (yet). But as all of us should be well aware of- When speeding, a speeding ticket is the least of your problems. That is because in many states you can find your self facing vehicular homicide charges as a result of such actions.
