CAN A PARK OWNER INCREASE THE SPACE RENT WHEN A HOME IS SOLD?
Under the provisions of the vacancy control section of the Sonoma County Ordinance, a mobilehome park owner can charge a new base rent for a space when a lawful vacancy occurs. In the absence of a lawful vacancy, a park owner is prohibited from raising rent upon a sale of a mobilehome on site to a tenant-to-be or current tenant.
