Hoosier Healthwise is Indiana’s affordable health insurance program for low-income families, children, and pregnant women. Health care is provided at little or no cost to families enrolled in the program Hoosier Healthwise covers hospital care, doctor visits and checkups, dental care, vision care, mental health services, prescriptions, lab services, and more. In order to be eligible for this free or low-cost insurance coverage, the family’s income must be within the required income limits, which vary with family size.
