Can a NYPD Detective Work in Harmony With a Crime Writer?
This is a cute series. Nathan Fillion is adorable. He’s always taking notes, even in the midst of a difficult situation. He is eager to capture the reality of being a detective and even though Beckett is not thrilled about him tagging along, secretly they have a fondness for each other. And Castle’s daughter sees the connection between the two. Castle’s mother is another fun character. She’s eccentric and witty. She adds a little spice to the show. But the best part is the interplay between Beckett and Castle. These two characters have a chemistry that lights up the screen. Castle is a fun-loving, endearing man, and Beckett is a by-the-book detective. In the beginning of the season she was extremely rugged, but as Castle influences her little by little throughout the season, she begins to soften at times. She’s still a tough NYPD detective, but he’s managing to loosen her up, just a bit.
