Can a non-Catholic go into a Catholic church and light a candle for someone?
Why light candles? My husband, who was a Catholic, died in an auto accident two years ago. A: A burning candle is like “stretching out” one’s prayer and for Christians is a reminder of Christ, the light of the world. This custom has brought comfort to many people over the years.
