Heads have discretion to allow an individual to start work within their school pending receipt of a CRB disclosure, but should ensure the individual is properly supervised and that all other checks including List 99 have been completed. Appropriate supervision should be determined according to a risk assessment (see para 4.25 of Guidance) 3.
