Can a Microsoft Xp Home Edition cd work with ANY authentic cd key?
If you are talking about reloading your machine and you have the COA for XP Home, then all you need is an XP Home CD. You do need the same version CD as your KEY but your key will work with any matching CD. If this is a major manufacturers computer, Dell, HP, IBM, etc. you can probably get the restoration CD from them for a lot less than buying a retail copy of XP. You can even borrow a CD to use to install — as long as you use YOUR KEY!
