Most Metro employees can bid on surplus items. However, Metro employees directly involved with the disposition of surplus property including the employees’ supervisors and persons living in either the employees’ or supervisors’ households shall not bid on any item available for auction on the eBid Nashville site. Metro employees with personal or first-hand information regarding the condition of any item available for auction on the eBid Nashville site is prohibited from bidding on such items, including persons living in the employee’s household. Personal or first-hand information includes knowledge of an items condition.
