Can a manager date their employees?
Some companies will have rules about this. If you are looking at playing the field at work this would be highly unadvisable. If you have someone particular in mind my advice would be to discuss the matter with your superiors or human resources. If the employee in question is a direct report they may want to move him/her under the authority of a different manager, or recuse yourself from any decisions that will benefit the employee in question personally (eg pay rises, promotions, bonuses). Many people meet thier future spouses through work so obviously there cannot be blanket rules against colleagues dating. The best thing to do is be open and honest with your company about it.
