Can a Low Performing Provider continue to provide VPK if an Improvement Plan is not submitted and approved?
No. A Low Performing Provider can not begin instruction for a new VPK class or program and will not receive funding for VPK until an Improvement Plan has been submitted and approved. In addition Providers who have been designated Low Performing Providers for two consecutive years must demonstrate that they have purchased a curriculum from the Department of Education’s approved curricula list available at: http://www.fldoe.org/earlylearning/curric.asp#currapprovalprocesslpp before beginning instruction.
