Can a log home be built to conform to the Uniform Building Code (UBC), the International Building Code (IBC) or the International Residential Code (IRC)?
You won’t have any problems with the building code people if you simply obtain a building permit before you start building your log home. Normally, the building code people are very easy to get along with, and they will go out of their way to help you. Obviously, if the ‘kit’ builders can build legally then we can also do so.
