Can a legionnaire get married?
Yes, but with conditions. Although the Lgion prefers unmarried men on enlistment, they do not expect you to stay single forever. Marriage is permitted but only when you reach the rank of sergent. If yoiu marry after reaching this rank, you might get married quarters, etc. There are many married legionnaires & the magazine ‘Kepi Blanc’ includes marriage & births columns. However, please remember that life as a Legion wife is not easy. They have to endure very long periods of separation without communication, & like many such military units, wives must expect to come 2nd, as a legionnaire’s comrades will always come first.
