Can a laminated map be framed?
Yes. The laminated wall map of The United States pictured to the left was mounted and framed without using glass.This method of display helps to keep the weight and cost of framing down, yet it still encourages viewers of the map to “run their fingers over the surface,” as a New York Times writer noted in 1992. Our laminated wall maps are heat-sealed in 1.7 mil clear vinyl, an easy-care finish. You can also write on them with a dry erase marker. When a traditional framing with glass is appropriate, simply purchase the plain version.
