Can a KDOL designer advise me on any structural changes to improve my kitchen layout?
We can sometimes determine if a wall is structural or not from the kitchen floor plan only, although, without the entire first floor plan, this can sometimes be difficult. If you are planning on removing walls, then, it’s best to provide the entire first floor plan of your home. We can, through logic of the layout, usually determine which walls are structural, and, then advise on how to plan for new posts and a new beam in order to provide proper support. It is always best to consult with your contractor during the design process and you most definitely would need the contractor to investigate the structure prior to beginning the demolition of your space.
